Tom’s Tech Tip: 3 Apple Watch Tips for Certified Legal Nurse Consultants

Apple® Watches have quickly become ubiquitous. It seems like everyone owns one. You can use an Apple Watch for almost anything. I especially like the Dick Tracy-like ability to take phone calls. But there’s more to the Apple watch than texts, email and calendar alerts that Certified Legal Nurse Consultants can find useful. Here are 3 tips to mastering you Apple Watch:
Tom’s Tech Tip: Warning for Certified Legal Nurse Consultants: Summer’s Nearly Over and So May Be Your iPhone 6

There is a huge update coming to the Apple® iOS used on iPhones® and iPads® and, more likely than not, it’s due out in September. Warning for Certified Legal Nurse Consultants who have iPhones – with iOS version 13, updates and support for iPhones 5 and 6 will be discontinued. Of course you’ll be able to continue to use your old iPhones and iPads, but some of the apps won’t update and the system will seem clunky.
Tom’s Tech Tip: How to Clear Formatting in Microsoft Word – Made Easy for Certified Legal Nurse Consultants

Word has lots of little hidden and not so hidden tricks. One of my favorites is the “clear formatting” button. I’ve often copied text from other documents or from a website and when I’ve pasted it into my Word document the source formatting comes along with it. You can use the Paste button and click on the Keep Text Only option, but that doesn’t always work. There are noises, or more properly sound alerts, when Windows goes to sleep, when it wakes, when programs open or close. Then there are noises for reminders, incoming email, outgoing email and, sometimes it seems, just random noises to amuse itself or whenever it feels neglected or ignored.
Tom’s Tech Tip: Four Windows Ten Tips for Certified Legal Nurse Consultants

I love working with Windows® 10 (really) and have been discovering many of the little secrets that it contains. Short of buying Windows 10 for Dummies the best way for any Certified Legal Nurse Consultant to learn how to use Win 10 is to just get your feet wet by playing with it.
Tom’s Tech Tip: Don’t Believe Everything You Read on Your iPhone

This morning, while reading one of my daily enewsletters on my iPhone® 12, I must have brushed a poisoned advertisement because a warning suddenly popped up telling me that my iPhone was infected with no less than six (6) different viruses (love the specificity)!
Tom’s Tech Tip: How’s Your Mouse Working for You?

After upgrading Vickie to a brand, spanking, new, faster than light, touchscreen computer, I noticed that she was complaining of problems with her trackball mouse. As a bit of background, LegalNurse.com moved all of our employees, willing or not, from traditional computer mice to trackball mice years ago.
