Are You Ready for Success as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant?

Right after my Opening speech at the 2015 National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants Conference, one of the CLNC^® consultants came up to me and excitedly said, “Vickie I’m ready! I am ready to be successful as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant!” My question back to her was, “Are you ready to do what it’s going to take to be successful?”

Most RNs are stressed and more than ready for the benefits of legal nurse consulting success – the benefits of more money and flexibility and control over one’s life. But the RN must also be ready for the hard work, the aggravation and even the change in a relationship or two that success requires. Few Certified Legal Nurse Consultants experience the perks of success without any of the hassles.

Each of us measures success differently and experiences it differently. Knowing how you’ll measure success and knowing what you’re willing to do to achieve success is essential for mastering it. No matter where you are in your legal nurse consulting career or your RN job at the hospital, ask yourself “Am I ready for success and am I willing to do what it takes to achieve it?”
