Inc. Top 10 Entrepreneur Vickie L. Milazzo, RN, MSN, JD is founder and president of Vickie Milazzo Institute. Vickie single-handedly pioneered the field of legal nurse consulting in 1982. According to The New York Times, she “crossed nursing with the law and created a new profession.” Vickie's master’s degree in nursing, with a concentration in education, and her law degree uniquely qualified her to invent this profitable career opportunity for RNs.

Vickie earned her bachelor of science in nursing at the University of St. Thomas and her master of science in nursing at Texas Woman’s University, both in Houston. She earned her juris doctor at South Texas College of Law.

In all her work Vickie openly shares her practical and proven strategies as she coaches and mentors nurses to take charge of their professional destiny. Vickie is a powerful advocate for women in business and for nurses. Her vision is to revolutionize nursing careers one RN at a time. Thomas Ziemba is an attorney specializing in contract development. He is a dynamic speaker knowledgeable in computers, the Internet, Internet research, creating web pages, writing contracts and alternative dispute resolution. He has spoken to entrepreneur groups throughout the U.S. Besides Tom’s role as general counsel and faculty member for Vickie Milazzo Institute, he is also the Institute’s network administrator.

Evie Baron-Hernandez has over 20 years of marketing, sales and customer service experience. She is a marketing creative and mentor for Vickie Milazzo Institute and has trained thousands of Certified Legal Nurse Consultant entrepreneurs on how to plan and implement their marketing strategies. She has developed training programs in sales and marketing for the Institute, its staff and Certified Legal Nurse Consultants. She is also part of the Institute’s faculty and speaks at the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants Conference.

Carol Hartwig is the education director for Vickie Milazzo Institute. She has more than 37 years of clinical, management and education experience. Carol coordinates the Institute’s seminars and conferences, oversees the CLNC^® Mentoring Program and maintains appropriate documentation to provide continuing education credit for the Institute’s students.

Carrie King is the education coordinator for Vickie Milazzo Institute. She has a nursing background in NICU. Carrie coordinates the Institute's CLNC^® Mentoring Program and oversees the Private and 2-Day NACLNC^® Apprenticeship Programs.
